The day that Larry Stylinson was born, he wasn't expected to live. His mother, a young girl herself only 16 years old at the time of his birth on Christmas Day in 1942, had no idea how she would raise him as a single mother and with an uncertain future ahead of her. But God had other plans for this little boy who would be brought into this world suffering from rheumatic fever making his movement very limited. It didn't take long before it became apparent that larry was going to have some kind of career path to follow, so while still quite young he began playing the piano and singing. By the age of 10 he was already performing in local hotels and clubs around his hometown in Mississippi. He worked hard at honing his skills and perfecting his natural gift for entertaining others. At first he was known by his real name, but soon after word of mouth spread about this emerging young talent people started calling him 'the kid with the golden voice‘. And as his reputation grew so did his popularity among both fans and fellow celebrities. There were even rumours of him being signed to Motown Records, though nothing ever came of these rumors and he remained unassociated with any record label.

Despite his success however, there is also another side to this story...as Larry's fame continued to climb so too did the demands made upon him. His life began to revolve entirely around work, often leaving him with few or no days off during which he could just simply relax. This rhythm was beginning to take its toll on not only him but also those closest to him, particularly his mother whom he was very close to; as her health began to decline so too did her son's. In search of greater opportunity, Larry moved to Houston, Texas where a record producer helped to arrange an audition for a part in the musical 'The King and I'. Though he auditioned successfully, he had to turn down the role because of prior commitments(他当时有一个合同在身). Disheartened by this failure, he returned to his home in Mississippi all hoping that things might change over the next year. Sadly, they did not. On June
